My journey to become a Broker/Realtor with Lake Norman Realty took some time with a certain amount of destiny. I was born in Medford Lakes, New Jersey, ironically, the same year Lake Norman was created! My family moved to Rhode Island when I was in elementary school and after growing up in the “Ocean State”, I eventually met and married my college sweetheart, Jay. My husband’s nuclear career relocated us to Crystal River, Florida as newlyweds and soon after, we started our family. Raising John and Haley by the river and Gulf Mexico for almost 26 years was magical, however, there was an unexpected but incredible life change ahead for all of us! It all began with my first glimpse of Lake Norman about 16 years ago on a summer road trip from Florida to my parent’s home in Maine. We took the “long way” driving through Charlotte on I-77 and as we crossed over the lake, I could see the diamonds dancing on the water, sailboats listing in the breeze and water-skiers having the time of their lives! The luxurious waterfront homes stood out against the Carolina blue sky and captured my eye providing the ultimate "WOW!" Little did I know that by a twist of fate, my husband’s employer would relocate our family 10 years later here to this gorgeous community. We found a wonderful new home by the lake in Mooresville, settled in and have been enjoying our new life ever since! Over the years my lifelong passion in interior design as well as my work experience in marketing and economic development fostered my interest in real estate and led me to become a Broker/Realtor. Affiliating with Lake Norman Realty has been one of the best decisions I have made professionally. Haley lives and works in uptown Charlotte and loves everything about the Queen City! We are now officially "Empty Nesters"!
